How to Plan Dental and Medical Product Sourcing

July 02, 2026 Industries

Dental and medical sourcing is more sensitive than standard product purchasing. Product group, target market regulation, certificate expectations, shelf life, lot traceability and packaging information should be clarified before order confirmation.

Document control

CE, ISO, technical file, instructions for use and analysis reports when needed should be checked according to the target market. Not every product group needs the same document set, so the requirement should be evaluated by country.

Traceability and packaging

Lot number, production date, expiry date and sterile packaging details should be verified before shipment. Packaging language and label information can also affect import procedures.

  • Product code and technical description
  • Certificates and manufacturer declarations
  • Lot, serial and shelf life checks
  • Sample approval and visual quality control

FAHAN makes dental and medical purchasing safer through manufacturer communication, document follow-up and pre-loading checks.
